Redesign of the YIVO Encyclopedia, one of YIVO's main digital products, which was launched in 2009 and had no updates since. The website needed both a design upgrade as well as a new backend. Work started with interviews with the major stakeholders, including users and editors, which were then wireframed and designed following the institution's new design guidelines for special projects. I was responsible for concept development, research, strategy, UX, user testing, design guidelines, and I oversaw the graphic design and coding.
